Eye examination

A basic eye examination includes measurement of visual acuity with prescription of glasses, measurement of intraocular pressure (tonometry), and examination of the anterior (cornea and lens) and posterior (retina) segments of the eye.
In addition to the basic eye examination, specific examinations are performed to diagnose and plan treatment for different eye diseases such as cataract, glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetes, uveitis and dry eye.
